Where personal information belongs
Some county services do require personal details, and those belong only on official county websites or with county staff:
- income and age details for the Homestead Exemption;
- property and ownership details for a Board of Revision complaint;
- proof of identity for an unclaimed funds claim;
- payment details for your property tax bill or a dog license.

Search tools and your searches
When you use the property search, map or transfers tools, your search text (an address, parcel ID or owner name) is sent to a small relay on this site, which passes it to the county’s parcel service and returns the result. The relay does not save your search text. It keeps short-lived copies of the county’s answers (up to 24 hours, so a repeat search is faster and so results can still show if the county service is briefly down) and a counter tied to a one-way hash of your IP address, used for a few minutes to limit abuse. If the relay is unavailable, your browser asks the county’s service directly and the county sees your IP address and search. Your hosting company’s server logs may record the page address you visited, which includes your search if you opened a shared link. Property search pages are marked so search engines do not index them.
