Franklin County Property Forms & Applications
Franklin County property administration runs on paperwork — not because the system is unnecessarily bureaucratic, but because Ohio law requires a documented record for anything that changes what a property owes, who owns it, or how it’s valued. Every reduction, transfer, and appeal on this page exists because state law created a specific process for it, and each process has its own form.
Why So Many Different Forms?
Most of the forms here are Ohio Department of Taxation “DTE” forms, which is why so many entries below start with those three letters — DTE forms are standardized across all 88 Ohio counties, not unique to Franklin County, though Franklin County’s Auditor is who actually processes them locally. A handful of other forms (rental registration, parcel combinations, name changes) are more specifically administrative and used mainly at the county level.

Confirming You Have the Right Form
Forms get revised — a form number staying the same doesn’t guarantee the version you have is current. Before submitting anything, check the revision date printed on the form itself against what the Auditor’s Form Center currently shows, and when a form has variants (like DTE 100 versus DTE 100EX), make sure you’ve picked the one that actually matches your situation rather than assuming based on a similar name.
